The story is poignant and expressed in a very simple language by Sudha Murthy. A good read in my opinion.

Mahashweta, by Sudha Murthy, is one such book. But heaven rots to hell for both of them when Anupama discovers her disease. She meets curses and rumours about her ownself everyday. Anand went to abroad for further study.
But there is another category of books — those which show us what we already know, those which take the story in a way we can predict. But I have come to believe with experience, there ARE people in this world who look much beyond those acne marks! Overall it was a fantastic read and sudhs an eye opener.
I am fan of Sudha Murthy. A book that compels you to question our outlook towards people. But it was an usual story-line with no twists and turns.
Dolly gets married, and moves over to Australialeaving Anu with the responsibility of looking after her home, and without the need for paying rent. In this story she clearly explains how insensitively our society behaves towards a person who is suffering from Vitiligo, educated or not!
He returns to India and sets up a practice in his sprawling mansion. But nothing about the book feels original. At the same time, Anand finds her and convinces her to join him. I love the subjects she choses to write about. These skin imperfections are why dermatologists are earrning their living. Sudha Murty – She must be my foster mom, for she teaches me so much, so easily, that I never want to lose her.
The tree does not keep anything for itself. She is hesitant about informing Anand.
