The question is that, despite having a really useful analysis, what we really need are some policy prescriptions upon which action can be based.
The emergent cooperative currency movement needs to grow up. Highly recommended as a great way to provoke creativity in improving local economic and social conditions. He co-founded and managed GaiaCorp, a top performing currency fund whose profits funded investments in environmental projects.
The book does open with a very strong start. People across the globe have lost faith in the ability of government and business leaders to resolve the problems facing humanity. But, what makes it so important is that it describes monetary systems that are operating either in other countries or right under our noses.

How New Currencies Turn But I have to agree with many of the negative comments about the book’s coherence and the authors’ over-enthusiasm about certain alternative currencies. It speaks clearly about a complex subject and promises to strike a deep chord with readers eager to find meaningful mojey to the problems that threaten our security, our prosperity, and our future.
